A quick video documentary of the refinish from Candy Orange to Candy Apple Red.

The paint job is much better this time and I’m happy with it.

I also applied a universal wiring scheme, now common on all three of my Strats – mainly to avoid me having to remember which pickup selections are where at any given time, but also to get my favourite settings in the most optimum switch positions for quick access on stage.

In short, all my Strats now sport standard 5-way wiring, except the middle tone pot is a blend control for the bridge pickup when in the 4th & 5th positions. This allows me to have the bridge only and the neck & bridge together (my two most commonly used settings) at each end of the switch; Easy to quickly switch between the two mid-song.
