In summary, my impression of the Fender American Deluxe Strat is that it is the GTi version. It's like the sport model that's had some extra tuning done under the hood.

Sonic Strat Refinished Again!
With limited tools and expertise I had to resort to the frightening prospect of partial destruction to get the neck off; I didn't want to just leave the guitar as it was because I would inevitably need to take the neck off at some point anyway.

2×8 Custom Fly-Rig Cabinet
It measures 46cm x 27cm x 20cm (11" x 10.5" x 8"), contains two 8", high-power Celestion drivers, it can handle 300 watts and weighs just under 7.5kg (16.5lbs).

2×8 Scrap Wood Cab Project
The verdict is that this 2x8 cab sounds much better than it has a right to, especially seeing as it is so crudely put together.
