Each gig that I play brings forth new ideas for improving the function and/or tone of the compact, all-in-one guitar rig. After a gig in November, which saw the setup perform very well, there were a couple of things I felt could be tweaked.
I got a new MXR Phase 95, a pedal that I have wanted for a while, but just couldn’t afford until October 2019. After a short period of enjoying my new phaser it inexplicably developed a fault.
The Phase 45 mode (the feature I bought it for) stopped working. The Phase 90 mode worked perfectly still, but other than that… silence!
The day of my most recent gig (29th February) I decided to make a last-minute change to the signal chain in the FX loop – regarding the volume lift feature. This rig is getting close to being the ultimate… read on!
Here is an update on my guitar rig, which has been tweaked many times since the last post, but this layout I hope will address a couple of issues I have found when playing live prior to this update.
This is likely only going to appeal to you if you are obsessed with tone-tweaking and rig-miniaturization to the degree that I am!
