It's come out great - a little darker than I was hoping, but not too dark. I am wondering if I should have used silver as the metallic base instead of gold...
Final coat of lacquer is on the new cab. I'm leaving it to cure for a month before buffing it up. We'll see how the finish holds up to the abuses of the stage!
So after refinishing the Classic Vibe Strat about 2 years ago with a Wudtone oil-based finish I decided to give the guitar more pizzaz and give it a rock 'n' roll facelift.
The colour Squier should have done the Classic Vibe Strat in already. Daphne/sonic blue, rosewood neck and a mint-green pickguard with aged-white/cream parts.
