At the same time I haven’t had to sacrifice any of the other classic Strat pickup combinations for when I need them for recordings or the rare occasion when I need them live.
The reason for this setup is that I wanted to improve its performance on stage by being able to access my favourite settings as quickly as possible, which include non-stock settings from a standard-wired Strat.
Other wiring setups I have used allowed me to access the non-standard settings, but at the expense of some simplicity for changing tones on the fly or quickly selecting my tone for a specific song.
When I’m also singing many songs live I like to spend less time thinking about tone selection, so I can focus on my entire performance.
With this wiring setup I think I’ve found the perfect combination of everything and I hope it’s something you too will find useful too. I love this wiring setup!
